Here are the most common questions and answers regarding delivery.
Where is my order? – This is the most common question if the order was placed for a previous reservation. Please pay attention to the indicated delivery periods – they are shown in red letters below the brief description of the plants. If the delivery period has passed and more than 5 working days have passed, please call or send a message to the phone number – +371-29800830 or +371-26396055. We are not interested in delaying the delivery time, as the plants need to be constantly monitored, which is additional work for us. However, sometimes weather conditions can make adjustments. For example, if the spring is cold or, on the other hand, the summer is very hot, it may change the delivery time by +/- 1 week.
What costs should I expect? – Delivery fee to any Omniva parcel machine – 3,80 euros. To Omniva parcel machines we can send frigo plants, bulb flowers, perennials – bare-root plants and small container plants (0,5l or 1l pots). Delivery by courier costs 9,00 euros. Since the planting and delivery times for plants vary, a separate fee applies for each delivery period. Please don’t be concerned if you see a higher delivery fee than mentioned above. This simply means that you have ordered plants with different delivery periods in the same order – you will have several deliveries at different times. If possible, we sometimes try to combine the plants and send them in one delivery. For example, frigo plants must be sent when they arrive, as it is not possible to wait until an opportunity arises to combine them with other plants.
How fast is the delivery? – Currently, the shipment reaches the buyer within 3-4 days from the time of dispatch.
Can container plants be sent to Omniva parcel machine? – Yes! It is very safe for small container plants, as we additionally package them in blister packaging. Larger container present a bit more of a challenge, but they can still be safely shipped if removed from their pots. If the plant is very large and is not recommended to be pruned, we deliver these plants ourselves 1-2 times a week on a route – Dobele, Jelgava, Eleja, Rīga, Pierīga, Tukums, Jūrmala. In spring, we also make few deliveries to further locations like - Liepāja, Ventspils, Jēkabpils.
Is it possible to pay the courier for the order? – We have removed this option to avoid increasing delivery costs. However, if this is the only way for you to make the payment, please add a comment when placing your order, and we will try to arrange it. Please keep in mind that couriers only accept card payments at this moment!
Is it possible to add another plant to my current order? – Yes, you can, by contacting us before the order is dispatched.
Will the courier contact me about the delivery of my order? – Yes, the courier will contact you. When the courier calls you, please answer the phone or call back as soon as possible, otherwise, the delivery will not be made. To be more precise, it will be delivered on another day for an additional fee.
Can courier arrive at a specific date and time? – Yes, for an additional fee – 12,00 euros. The courier can arrive within two-hour window at specified time. This option applies to our delivery on the previously mentioned route.
Do I have to stay home all day while waiting for the courier? – No, you don’t. You have at least three options how to handle the situation:
- If you are planning to go somewhere, take your phone with you. The courier will call you about an hour before delivery.
- Ask a family member or a neighbor to accept the delivery on your behalf.
- Request the courier to leave the package at your door or in the yard. !! Please note, that this option is only available if we are handling delivery ourselves.
