The bush reaches about 1.5 meters in height and the same width. The advantage is that the berries do not fall to the ground after ripening, so harvesting can be done leisurely. The berries are unusually large, wide, and heart or oval-shaped. This is a late variety. It flowers and bears fruit later than classic currant varieties. Late flowering protects the flowers from spring frosts. Currants are not self-pollinating. To set fruit, another flowering variety must be planted nearby (within a few meters). Ideal partners for 'Giant's Heart' are 'Blue Treasure'.
